Socks Blue Shark

This collection is inspired and made in Portugal. We seek to raise awareness of the fantastic fauna that inhabits our country (Portugal and the rest of the Iberian Peninsula). Alerting to the accomplishment of these species, we will be protected species and on the way to extinction.

Prionace glauca, blue shark, is a species of shark of the family Carcharhinidae, which inhabits the deep zones of the oceans, in temperate and tropical waters.
The blue shark uses our coast as a nursery – the place where sharks give birth – and they are common practically all year round.
The overexploitation of fisheries is largely responsible for the decline of blue shark populations across the planet and Portugal is no exception.
